Maria Dorfner is an American broadcast journalist, who began her career with an executive internship at NBC in 1983 during college. She was hired there after graduating with Sigma Tau Delta National Honors from Pace University in NYC. She has developed and produced talk show pilots, which were successfully syndicated. She was also a part of the team that successfully launched CNBC in 1989.

She is in Who's Who in American Women 2000/2001. In 2010, she received an Outstanding Leadership Award from her alma mater and a Commitment to the Advancement of Women in Media Award from the National Association of Female Executives and Women in Corporate America.
